ANNUAL ASSESSMENT CAMP OF 3rd & 19th BATTALIONS NCC
HELD AT TRAINING CENTRE , RTB

The Annual Assessment Camp of the 3rd and 19th Battalions was jointly conducted at the NCC Training Centre, Rantembe from 09.09.2011 to 16.09.2011. The Passing Out Parade of the camp was held on 15.09.2011 and Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP the Director of the National Cadet Corps took the salute of the Parade as the Chief Guest of this occasion.

The cadets of the both Battalions were very keen on improving their knowledge and skills about the military and civil subjects with an aim of facing the tests and competitions at the end of the camp. The subjects like Confidence Building Course, Drill and the Compass March also were the areas which cadets paid their enthusiasm.

After a tight competition Thurstan College, Colombo and Royal College , Colombo became the champion and runners-up of the 03rd Battalion whilst Dharmapala MV, Kottawa and Rajasinghe MMV, Hanwella became the champion and runners-up of the 19th Battalion respectively.

The senior officers of the National Cadet Corps, principals , teachers and the students of respective schools and their parents also participated in this colourful occasion.
