ANNUAL ASSESSMENT CAMP OF AIR WING (GIRLS) CADETS NCC
HELD AT SLAF STATION, DIYATALAWA

The Annual Assessment Camp of the Air Wing (Girls) Cadets of the National Cadet Corps was conducted at the Sri Lanka Air Force Station, Diyatalawa from 06.09.2011 to 15.09.2011. The Passing Out Parade of the Air Wing Cadet camp was held on 14.09.2011 and Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP the Director of the National Cadet Corps took the salute of the Parade as the Chief Guest of this occasion.

The girl cadets of the Air Wing were very enthusiastic on improving their knowledge and skills about the Air Force and civil subjects with an aim of facing the tests and competitions at the end of the camp. The subjects like Drill, Compass March and Confidence Building Course also were the areas which cadets paid their keen interest.

After a close competition Vishaka Girls College, Makola of the 07th Battalion became the Champion whilst Nalanda College, Minuwangoda of the 07th Battalion secured the 02nd Place in the competition.

The Commandant of the SLAF Station, Diyatalawa, the senior officers of the Sri Lanka Air Force and the National Cadet Corps, principals, teachers and the students of respective schools and their parents also participated in this colourful occasion.
