ANNUAL EASTERN BAND ASSESSMENT CAMP
HELD AT TRAINING CENTRE , RANTEMBE

The NCC Conducted Eastern Band Annual Assessment Camp from 24.09.2011 to 30.09.2011 at the NCC Training Centre, Rantembe. 34 Boys Eastern Band Platoons and 20 Girls Eastern Band Platoons participated in the camp.

The Passing Out Parade of the Camp was held under the patronage of Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP Director, National Cadet Corps on 29.09.2011 at the Training Centre. Champions of boys and girls bands were Vidyartha College, Kandy of 02nd Battalion and Maliyadeva Girls' College, Kurunegala of 04th Battalion respectively. ST. Sylvester's College, Kandy of 02nd Battalion and Sir John Kothalawala MV, Kurunegala of 04th Battalion became the runners-up after a tight competition.

The Commandant, Senior Officers of the Corps, Principals, Teachers and large number of parents attended the function.
