OFFICERS

Permanent Teacher in a Government or a Semi Government school or a member of Sri Lanka Teachers' Service or Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service.

Age- Gents : below 40 years, Ladies : below 35 years.

CADETS

Students in a Government or semi government school. Age between 14-20 years. Must be qualified in a Physical Fitness Test. A cadet can stay in the rank of "Cadet" for two consecutive years. Then he/she is eligible for a higher rank , Lance Corporal, Corporal or Sergeant. A platoon consists of a 3 Sergeants, 3 Corporals , 3 Lance Corporals and 18 cadets. According to the organization of the NCC , Corps is organized in Platoon ,Companies ,Battalions and Provincial Headquarters , and is controlled by Corps Headquarters. Battalion is the highest formation in the organization, the platoon is the smallest sub unit. A platoon undergoes training through out the year before attending Annual Assessment Camp .
