MOTTO OF THE NCC AND THE LOGO - THE STAG
" NON QUAM NON PARATUS”
This is derived from Latin. A cadet is a trained asset. He should alway be prepared to any eventuality.Hence the motto 'NONQUAM NON PARATUS' The meaning of the motto is "NEVER BE UNPREPAIRED 'or in sanskrit "NAKADHACHIDH ASANG VIHITHAKH". In sinhala it is "SOODANAM NOVEE NOSITINU".

WHY STAG AS THE LOGO......
The serenity of the environment is there because of free roaming animals.
Among them, the stag is one of the most active tetrapod in the jungle,
sensitive and instantly reactive. Always very fond of living in herds,
stags are strong, courageous, brave and have excellent physical and mental strength,
and can tolerate any weather, any terrain, and any difficulty with self reliance.
The senior stags are always protective of weaker sex and off springs.
Stags roam among other animals proudly but at the same time an innocent animal,
who likes to co-habit with other creatures of jungle.
How suitable this Logo to NCC which has an inherent duty in mouldering Sri Lankan youth
into well disciplined, proud, active and prepared lot for the future!
