ANNUAL ASSESSMENT CAMP OF NAVAL WING (BOYS)CADETS NCC HELD AT
NAVAL MARITIME ACADEMY, TRINCOMALEE

The Annual Assessment Camp of the Naval Wing (Boys) Cadets of the National Cadet Corps was conducted at the Naval Maritime Academy in Trincomalee from 11.09.2011 to 18.09.2011. The Passing Out Parade of the Naval Wing Cadet camp was ceremonially held on 17.09.2011 and Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP the Director of the National Cadet Corps took the salute of the Parade as the Chief Guest of this occasion.

This special camp was implemented on a request from the Director of the National Cadet Corps from the Commander of the Navy to provide a cadet training for sea cadets in naval atmosphere where they could gain exposure to naval activities. 54 officers, 996 sea cadets and 02 cadet bands representing 39 schools participated in this special assessment camp.

At the end of the Annual Assessment Camp Sylvester College, Kandy of 02nd Battalion of the National Cadet Corps became the Champion whilst the 02nd Place was secured by Sir John Kotalawala Centrel College, Dodangaslanda of 04th Battalion of the National Cadet Corps.

The Commander Eastern Naval Area and other Senior Naval and  National Cadet Corps Officers, principals, teachers and the students of respective schools and their parents also participated in this colourful occasion.
