Training Centre Rantembe

The National Cadet Corps Training Centre is situated in Rantembe area of Victoria Randenigala and Rantembe wildlife sanctuary in Kandy district, about 77 Kilometers from Kandy. The NCC Training Centre consists of mainly Training Wing and Administration Wing. All training activities of Officers, Cadets, and refresher courses for Other Ranks attached to NCC on ERE basis are being carried out at the Training Centre according to a tight training schedule. In addition, Academic courses organized by HQ NCC for Officers and ORs of the Armed Forces and the Police are also conducted whilst cadet training is in progress. The NCC is privileged to function a well equipped Training Centre with a Parade Square, Firing Range, Obstacle Training Area, Adventure Training Area , Medical Inspection Room, Swimming Pool, Library, Officers’ Mess, Cadet Mess, Welfare Shop, Shrine Room, Motivation Hall etc.

The Training Centre is commanded by the Commandant in the rank of Colonel. He is assisted by Officer Commanding at the Administration Wing and Chief Instructor at the Training Wing and an able set of Officers, Permanent Staff Instructors derived from tri-services and a civilian staff.
