ANNUAL WESTERN BAND ASSESSMENT CAMP
HELD AT TRAINING CENTRE , RTB

The NCC Conducted Western Band Annual Assessment Camp from 17.09.2011 to 23.09.2011 at the NCC Training Centre, Rantembe. 34 Boys Western Band Platoons and 09 Girls Western Band Platoons participated in the camp. Cadets who have been enrolled to the band platoons also follow the usual cadet syllabus and in addition, they master western music under the supervision of Band Training Officer of the Corps.

The Passing Out Parade of the Camp was held under the patronage of Major General GBW Jayasundara RWP RSP Director, National Cadet Corps on 22.09.2011 at the Training Centre. Champions of boys and girls bands were Bandaranayake College, Gampaha and Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy respectively. Royal College, Colombo and Dharmashoka MV, Ambalangoda became the runners-up after a tight competition.

The Commandant, Senior Officers of the Corps, Principals, Teachers and large number of parents attended the function.
